So I’ve been playing the new song “Gobbledigook” by Sigur Rós all day today and thought I’d take a crack at designing an album cover for it. I started the design with this sketch of an old man and followed my feelings and the music for the rest.
For those of you who are familiar with Sigur Rós, you probably know that the lyrics to their songs are not in english… in fact, I’m not entirely sure they’re speaking anything but… well… gobbledigook. Any way, I kept hearing what sounded like the phrase “…enter the old healer,” repeated over and over again. So that’s what I tried to portray.
