Video Player Skin

So in our advanced computer graphics class we were given a short exercise were we had to create a skin for a media player during our four hour lab. Here’s what I came up with. The reason why I decided to go all “sketchy” with it is that I wanted to create something that wasn’t as clean as I usually do. I just started scribbling (with my mouse) and these are the shapes that came out of it.

  1. I like this a lot. Plus, the “rough sketch” thing is very “in” right now: take a look at the opening credits for “JUNO” or its soundtrack/dvd artwork, and I see it a lot of other places too. I think the “sketchy”-ness appeals a lot because it makes the user feel like they might have created it themselves and therefore more personal, not cold like some standard skins. Keep up the great work ^_^
