Plus, the "rough sketch" thing is very "in" right now: take a look at the opening credits for "JUNO" or its soundtrack/dvd artwork, and I see it a lot of other places too. I think the "sketchy"-ness appeals a lot because it makes the user feel like they might have created it themselves and therefore more personal, not cold like some standard skins.
